I am a wife, a mother, an educator, a life-long learner, and a personal trainer. I obtained my Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Secondary Education from Winthrop University. Since I have been a teacher in the state of South Carolina I have earned gifted and talented certification, College Board endorsement to teach Advanced Placement Biology, a certification from the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards in Adolescent/Young Adult Biology, a Master of Science in Biological Sciences from Clemson University, and a Google Educator Level 1 certification.
I have been an educator for 15 years, 14 of those years have been at the high school level. For the past 6 years I have been a Teacher Technology Leader (TTL) for Chapin High School. This has provided an opportunity to assist other teachers with using technology in their own classrooms. I have a passion for teaching individuals that want to learn. Most educators are thirsty for more knowledge and ready to jump into using new technology in their classrooms.
This page of my website will showcase my work as I progress through EDET 703 - Design and Development Tools II. This course fulfills part of my requirements for the EdD program in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus in Educational Technology at the University of South Carolina - Columbia.
